Good to Know
Health funds
If your private health insurance has extras cover that includes acupuncture, bring your card. You can claim on the spot with HICAPS and only pay the gap.
How much you get back depends on your fund and level of cover, so check with them if you want to know before you come in.
Medicare doesn’t cover acupuncture or Chinese medicine with a Chinese medicine practitioner, so there’s no bulk billing.
Cancellations
Life happens. If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please give at least 24 hours’ notice so someone else can have the spot.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed appointments, are charged 50% of the appointment fee.
Chinese herbs
Herbs are never automatic. If I think a formula will help, I’ll explain why and what it costs before I dispense it.
Each formula is $55 and usually lasts 1 to 1.5 weeks.
